Gold Coast City winger Riley Dillon says it's important his side plays to their strengths in Saturday's clash with Western Pride.
City travel to Briggs Road to face Pride as they look to extend their lead at the top of the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland ladder.
Pride, who have just two wins to their name so far this season, currently sit eighth on the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland table.
By contrast, in-form City aim to stretch their unbeaten run to eleven matches in all competitions.
Dillon said City will stick to their guns and continue what has worked for them in recent weeks.
“We’re going into the game expecting to win, obviously," Dillon stated.
"Pride are a good team and we can’t underestimate them but I’m pretty confident that we will back up from Wednesday night and get the win.”
“We’ve got to play to our strengths - keep the ball, get wide, play how we play, don’t worry too much about what they’re going to do."
"If we play our game we’ll get the job done."
Saturday’s match will be City’s third in just seven days, the fixture pile-up a result of the commencement of their Westfield FFA Cup campaign.
After defeating local outfit Gold Coast Knights on Saturday night, City easily accounted for fellow PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues side SWQ Thunder 4-0 on Wednesday night.
Dillon said the depth within the City squad was proving to be invaluable at this point in the season.
“Physically we should be okay. We worked hard in the preseason, we should be fit enough.”
“We’ve got a lot of depth in the squad, which is good because in every game, every player counts."
"It doesn’t matter if you're starting on the bench, you’ve always got to be there and make an impact when required.”
“With the three games in seven days everyone’s going to play at some stage, the quality that we have in the team is a great asset.”
A win on Saturday will see City maintain their grip on top spot on the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland table.
