Gold Coast City FC is delighted to announce the appointment of highly regarded football media specialist Michael Flynn as the club’s new Media, Marketing and Sponsorship Manager.
The appointment sees Gold Coast City become the first PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland club to create a full-time and dedicated media, marketing and sponsorship role – an acknowledgement of the club’s continued growth and ambition.
Working on a freelance basis for over a decade, Flynn has devoted himself to promoting Australian football at all levels of the game. In 2016, he served as a part-time media consultant and content creator for Gold Coast City FC.
Flynn has previously worked for Football Federation Australia social media accounts, covering major events such as the FIFA World Cup 2014, AFC Asian Cup 2016, Westfield FFA Cup and Hyundai A-League Grand Finals.
He also oversaw Football Queensland’s PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland digital content and production from 2013 to 2016, resulting in unprecedented media coverage for state league football across Queensland.
He is also an experienced journalist and media presenter, working for a range of outlets and publications across print, online, video and radio.
Flynn said he was excited by the potential of the Gold Coast City brand to establish itself as the most valuable in Queensland football market outside of the Hyundai A-League.
