Gold Coast City will be strongly represented at the upcoming FFA National Youth Championships for Boys in Coffs Harbour – with six of the club’s junior players selected.
The FFA National Youth Championship for Boys is an annual tournament featuring the nation's best junior talent in Under 13 and Under 14 age groups, featuring teams from Member Federations across Australia.
Gold Coast City players are eligible for consideration in the Queensland Metro teams in the tournament.
George Earwicker has been selected in the Under 13’s Queensland Metro team, with Milan Bundalo also selected as a shadow player in the squad.
Eli Hughes, Dylan Remmers, Taj Rich, and Christian Vulinovich have been selected in the Under 14’s Queensland Metro team.
City Technical Director Jason Buchanan congratulated the players on their achievements.
“On behalf of the club I want to congratulate our players on their selections. It's great to see so many Gold Coast City players representing the state," he said.
"These players came through our trials process and their commitment to training and playing in the NPL has been justly rewarded."
"Football Queensland regularly watch players in the juniors throughout the season, so obviously these players have impressed with their skills and attitude."
"We wish our players, and all Queensland teams, the very best in the upcoming tournament," he concluded.
The FFA National Youth Championship for Boys will run for five days, commencing on Monday, October 16th.
