Gold Coast City FC, and licence holder Palm Beach SC, is delighted to welcome Gold Coast Education and Tutoring Services (GCETS) as a men’s sponsor for the remainder of the 2017 season.
GCETS is a locally-based education services provider that offers tailored tutoring solutions for students ranging from the early years of schooling through to tertiary.
GCETS boasts three locations servicing the Gold Coast region and Company Directors Ross and Margaret Fraser-Smith have over forty years’ experience in the educational sector.
The partnership between GCETS and City will see the GCETS logo appear on selected club apparel and also includes ground signage.
Joel Mulvenney, City Director of Operations, said the partnership has significant potential to grow and provide wide benefit to the club’s players and parents.
“We are grateful for the support of Gold Coast Education and Tutoring Services and believe our juniors and their parents should be as well,” he explained.
“While we all love our football, Gold Coast City also acknowledges the complementary relationship of education and sport in the development of children and teenagers to be the best they can be.”
“We anticipate that this partnership can grow in the longer term and provide tangible benefits for our players to help them reach their full potential both on and off the pitch.”
GCETS Company Directors Ross and Margaret Fraser-Smith said their company recognises the important role that sport plays in many students’ lives.
“We are excited to be building new links with the local community and excited to partner with Gold Coast City Football Club.”
“We understand each child’s interests in sport and other hobbies and recognise they do not want to sacrifice their sporting interests for education.”
“There need not be a one-or-the-other approach but we believe that providing individual programs can certainly help with achieving a balance that delivers the best outcomes both at school and on the playing field.”
“We believe it is important to provide educational support to children in a way that aligns with their other commitments for the sake of the child and their parents.”
GCETS provides free assessments to determine areas of educational need and identify each child’s learning strengths.
